Donatas (Don) Tijunelis

Donatus (Don) Tijunelis is currently the president of the consulting firm DKT Engineering Ltd. Prior to DKT, he served as the Corporate Director of Strategic Research at Viskase Corporation (formerly a division of Union Carbide Corporation) where he also held the position of Vice President for Research & Development for several years. Dr. Tijunelis is the author of numerous business management and technical publications, coeditor of the Manufacturing High Technology Handbook (Marcel Decker, 1987), co-author of R&D On A Minimum Budget (AMOCOM, 1979), and a contributor to the Technology Management Series (Auerbach Publications, 1994). He is credited with 21 patents and has served on the panel of judges for the "R&D-100" Invention Awards for the past six years. In 1992, Dr. Tijunelis was appointed to the State of Illinois, Professional Engineering Registration Board. He is an active emeritus member of the Industrial Research Institute (IRI), External Research Director's Network (ERDN), past-president of the Research Director's Association of Chicago (RDAC) and member of the Academy of Management. Dr. Tijunelis also serves on advisory boards at the McCormick School of Engineering of Northwestern University and also Northern Illinois University. Dr. Tijunelis has a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, a M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova-Southeastern University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer.
