Cameron Jones is Director of HPC Packaging at Unilever. He was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland and attended Strathclyde University in Glasgow, where he graduated with a 1st Class Honours degree and Ph.D. from the Applied Chemistry Department. From University, Mr. Jones joined Unilever as a Technical Trainee Manager on the company?s UCMDS (Unilever Company Management Development Scheme) Scheme in Oct 1990. His first management role was as a Technical Brand Manager in the Elida Gibbs company in Leeds (UK). In 1996 he transferred to Japan and the Nippon Lever company, where he established & headed a Deodorant & Male Grooming R&D group. In 1999, he returned to the UK and took the position as Local Technical & Quality Manager for Lever Brothers. Two years later, Mr. Jones moved to the Head Office in London as the HPC R&D Operations manager ? a key strategic role supporting the SVP R&D. At the start of 2003, Mr. Jones was appointed head of the PdTC (Packaging Design & Technology Group) and overall leader for Home & Personal Care Packaging. Late 2003, he transferred to the North American business, where he was give the additional responsibility of leading the global Hair Category Packaging team.
